Happy 18th month birthday Miss Megs!

Whew! Halfway to TWO! Wow!
Time flies when you're chasing after Megamonster, I tell ya. This chick is just so fast. In the blink of an eye, she's gone, off on her own next adventure. And she KNOWS when you're not paying attention, and she KNOWS what to do to get your attention. Anything and everything she knows she's not supposed to do, of course! (like dig in the trash) You know she's into something she shouldn't be when as soon as you say her name, she starts running as fast as she can away from you. Or when she tries to hide something behind her back. Really? An 18 month old being sneaky? YES.

That being said, she's making me very nervous about putting in a pool this summer, so we're looking to hold off another year. I just can't imagine her not looking at the gates as a whole new challenge. Ugh. Don't even want to think about it.

Megan has figured out all her body parts- her 'button' (don't ask her when she's wearing something that snaps- boy does that piss her off when she can't lift it!) her nose, eyes, mouth and ears. She says 'eyes' and 'nose' when she points to them, and thinks she's hilarous (probably because we laugh) when she gets an extra dig in on her nose. She's also gone on the potty twice for me. We'll see how that goes in the next couple months though.

She still LOVES to eat. just about anything, unless Cameron is around. Then she kind of checks out what he's eating first, then makes up her mind. It's hilarious. You can definitely see the shift. Everything is about Cameron- she wants to know what he's doing all the time, and is constantly trying to mimic him. (He goes back and forth between loving and loathing it, but it's mostly love.) But she still definitely has a mind of her own. All girl. The squeals and squawks can only come from a girl, and she's definitely taken to the baby dolls lately. Wanting to take them everywhere with her.

She's definitely a cuddlebug too, and most of the time a welcoming commitee for everyone. Loves to give out her slobbery kisses (yes, even Cam accepts them-she's persistent) regularly, and is always up in everyone's business. A busybody who loves people, just like her mama. :)

She also can give her 'looks' (I've heard she gets these from me, but what do they know) and throws a fit fast and furious. She's over it quickly, thankfully, because with the fury she has CPS would be out otherwise.

She's definitely added a spark to all of our lives, and I can't believe she's already 18 months. Or that Cameron is 4 1/2! Brings tears to my eyes thinking about it. It's fun, it's fabulous, and it's frustrating at times, but this job I wouldn't trade for the world. these kids rock. :) Love them!

Happy Birthday Megs!

Love you bunches! Mama

one for me...

it started out as a DT layout, but didn't end up that way. SO it's just one for me! woot!

Trying to use up some pre-Rebel pics; for some reason I'm allergic to them now and never want to scrap them. Also trying to use up some papers I've had forever and never touched!

12 on the 12th... kind of ...

I forgot to do my 12 on the 12th, so we have 12 on the 13th... oops.

1. My mom surprised us with some pretty flowers for Vday. They are SO pretty- unusual color of lavender rose, and some eucalyptus in the shape of a heart. :)
2. Met with the cabinet guy first thing this morning... here's a little what our cabinets will look like.
3. I drive this road every day. Unless I don't get out of the house. It's the main road first thing out of our neighborhood, and it takes me everywhere. Including Starbucks, but I couldn't bring myself to take yet another picture of Starbucks. I'm scared to have a restraining order for stalking or something.
4. On my way to pick up Cameron- the station it's usually on.
5. Had a couple things to pick up. Spent a lot on nothing I needed to pick up.
6. This is what is usually on my console. My phone, and my list. Always.
7. Cam's school. and our church.
8. Joined the gym today. I feel stronger and thinner already. Believe me?
9. Use this stuff anywhere and all the time. I need a belt clip for it or something.
10. Lunch time. Yum. Chili with an 18 month old always looks good. And that, along with her carrot juice, should make for some nice umm bonding time with Mommy, Megan and the changing table later. Who gave her this?!? Cameron's smart and sticks to stuff he can identify. Megan's still gullible enough to accept leftovers.
11. Had to run to the bakery to pick up some goodies for Cameron's teachers for Valentine's. Thanks for the idea Rita! White Chocolate Cherry Cordials!
12. Got my card and magazine that it's in, along with a ton of goodies today from Paper Trends. Yay!
13. Hurried up and wrapped a gift while working on dinner.
14. Laundry. Stare at this bad boy every day too.
15. Megs ready for bed. But just wants to grab a few more Tupperware things out of the cupboard before she gets to bed. Gotta leave her mark in the world.
Yes. More than 12. But it wasn't the 12th either. What can I say, I like to live on the edge.
14.

so glad you're alive...

sorry if it sounds a little dramatic... for anyone that doesn't know, Brent was in a horrible car accident Friday on his way home from work- rear-ended by an 18 wheeler (twice), and then hit three other cars and the side wall in front. Miraculously he walked away with very minor injuries.
The theme for Scraplovers this month is Passions, and the product sponsor is the lovely Fancy Pants, so I did this layout for Brent.

the last one is just the heart- the background (black) is the scanner.

Dozer Jr....

has cracked her tooth.

Nope.

I don't know how.

Megan regularly crashes.

Megan regularly throws herself down on the ground in protest.

Megan frequently looks for the nearest hard surface to bang her head on to let me know how mad she is.

My reaction is normally walking away, all the while laughing. And thinking about the glass of wine I want.

Until, one morning, you look at your child and realize a piece of their tooth is missing.

Then, I hang my head in shame.

And think about the glass of wine I'd like.

On a brighter note, this picture was taken with my *new* 50mm 1.4 lens that hubs gave me for V-day. although when he sees his child like this, it might be taken back. Off to squeeze in more pictures with it while I can....

I got to be a guest blogger!

Check it out!

Each Monday a different member of KMA's design team does an article as a guest blog spot on Liz's blog. Some great tidbits, and food for thought. This week was my turn!

some layouts...

Just wanted to share a few layouts from recently.... I haven't updated my blog gallery in so long, and I figure it's easier to just post them on this one.

Here's one that was done for ScrapLovers, with Hambly products. Loved these transparencies! Loved the baby feet, too! This is baby Bryce, my friend Alisha's new daughter:

Here's another one for SL's, with Hambly papers. This is with my brothers and my sister Susan. Adrienne wasn't there, but I did 5 strips of paper for the five of us, three red (for the girls) and two blue (for the boys) and then stitched each one together to show the unity:

I've got some more to post from Scrappin Deals, but that'll have to wait- maybe tomorrow...
