Had a fabulous Memorial Day, although I got the camera out entirely too late- we had a crawfish boil at the house Sunday, and about 40 of our friends came over. It wasn't until people started shotgunning the beers later in the evening that I felt the urge to grab my camera though. :)

Was missing my hubs last night, so decided to make this....

Our little swimmer dude got his first blue ribbon this morning- he's turning into a fish! And a tan fish at that... I swear I'm diligent on the sunscreen- our daughter doesn't look like that!

He shaved 2 seconds off of his backstroke and came in 1st.... awesome awesome awesome!

I went down to Shelley and Kurstee's last weekend to stay the night to help with Kurstee's first prom.... so fun living vicariously through her with hair and makeup, and shoving boobs into dresses! I never got to do that myself :) She looked great, and oh boy do the rednecks down there crack me straight up! If the high schoolers hadn't done me in already, the people in the bar Shelley and Melanie took me to definitely did! Had a great time though- can't remember the last time I was out with Shelley- definitely been a while!

It's been a sad, stressful, emotionally draining week so far, and it's only Wednesday. All I want to do is remove the pain and worry and hurt from the people I love. It's confusing to wonder why- you can drive yourself crazy thinking of reasons why. So I just don't. To everything there is a season, even if it's not the season we want.

so much to say...but first I have to tell you...

it's a special kind of pain when you run over your own toe with your computer chair. a very bad, shameful kind.

been sick. haven't had a voice since saturday. my family's having a secret party over that.

went out to BFE for Hayden's Little League game Friday night- I swear sports are the most fun to watch when the people playing are under 4 feet tall!

Saturday the sickies started, but Cameron had his first swim meet (that I missed! :( ) and placed 2nd in both the freestyle and the backstroke! SO proud of him, and he was SO excited!

Happy belated Mother's Day to everyone! Sunday was church, then my fabulous husband made a COMPLETE meal from start to finish- went to the store and cleaned up afterwards and everything! how awesome is that?? He made us steak, shrimp, corn on the cob, mashed potatoes... awesome awesome awesome! And I was surprised with some fabulous kiddie homemade stuff, and a new charm bracelet.... the three of them each picked out two charms- the kids each had a little boy/little girl, Cam a camera, and Meg a butterfly.... then my husband gave me a heart with a cross in it, and a wine bottle. Hmm.... trying to tell me something honey?

Monday we spent the day with Susan and Pam, riding all around Houston to take pictures of Susu for graduation... cannot believe it's that time already... anyways, was a ton of fun, and the kids were great for it all. I think these are my fav, but lots of fun funky ones...

Lil miss Jorja is as adorable as can be- her smile lights up the room!

and I turned my car around and drove straight back home! Was planning to take Megs to the Children's museum with the cumbys today, but after 40 minutes in the car, and not near enough progress, we are back home.

Be aware... our house is protected by a lego gun weilding tupperware head... be very afraid....

Got a couple of layouts done last week- both are based off of some sketches of Ginger's for KMA... had fun with both, and got some old pics scrapped... gotta work on getting some Mom's day stuff finished so I can get it in the mail- yikes! Nothing like waiting until the last minute...
