12 on the 12th of August

I did this one on the 13th.... the 12th I took pictures, but it ended as a pretty awful day that I care not to document, so I started fresh the next day. :) 1. Bed bugs... they love hanging out in our bed watching cartoons. I let them hang out in there while I got ready today.
2. vacuumed and did some laundry... same as almost every day... :)
3. wrapped a birthday gift for an upcoming party this weekend.
4. went and got a workout in at the gym- yay!
5. went by Stephanie's after the gym- she wanted me to check out her cool new mantle decor. Let the kids play for a little while. Ran to HEB and grabbed some sushi for lunch for us, while she made lunch for the kiddos.
6.Had to get home to let the electrician in- he wired our master bathroom for a ceiling fan, and the back porch got one as well, along with four recessed lights.
7. Cam and I worked on some crafts while Megan was napping- a cool dino mosaic, and pracited his writing some.
8. I think Cameron rides around on this little car as much as Megan does- the kids both love making laps through the foyer and around the kitchen all day.
9. What Megan? You want to stamp? Oh, okay. Maybe red all over your hands isn't such a good idea though....
10. got a DT kit in the mail today- some yummy new AC papers, along with Dream Street. Yay!
11. Megan and Daddy hanging out while I was fixing dinner. Tacos tonight.
12. kids are in bed, and so is Hubs. Computer vegetation time. :)

Happy 2nd Birthday Megan!

Can't believe I'm saying that... *sniff* Just wanted to get it out, but I'm still working on Cam's birthday post from last month, so I'm not going to do hers yet :) BUT she did have a super fabulous party today, and the fabulous Brandy snapped almost every moment of the event (she rocks I tell ya) and HERE are the pics, if you are remotely interested in checking out all the rugrats :)

sigh. she's two. cam starts school on Monday. I have cried more in the last couple of days than I have in a very long time. so overwhelmed. so sad my little man is heading off. but trying to look forward to the time I'll have with miss megs.

tonight's a cool night. keepin' Ethan and Em for the night. love having a snuggly baby around :)

anyhoo... much to catch up on... later....

you know it's been a long car ride...

when your kids are in the backseat saying this over and over again:

cameron: Megan, what month is it?
megan: Hot Dog!

and laughing hysterically like it's the funniest thing in the world...

the trip was fabulous- Sea World was a great time, and the resort was awesome, and the company perfect! Definitely a do-again! Our kids were great troopers on a day at SW that had a heat index of over 100- we were all pretty melted by days end, but it was great to come back to the hotel and float the lazy river and hang out at the pool. Having Kurstee with us was awesome too- we got a "date night" with all the adults- superb!

Check out all the blondies-

Took the girls to get their hair cut this week... Miss Megs now has some bangs-and she actually sat still for it, so they're straight! *phew!* I think I was holding my breath during the process! And I colored and highlighted Kurstee hair for her Wednesday night- no pics yet- she's surprising Shelley :)

Went to parent orientation last night at the school.... and then went out to dinner with JUST my husband! WOOT! Again, courtesy of the fabulous Kurstee. Anyways, I started sniffling all over again after the orientation, and over my glass of wine starting doing the "our baby is starting Kindergarten, are you SURE you can't imagine us having another baby?" Rock on! I got a "90/10"

So you're saying there is a chance...I'll try again in a year when Megan starts preschool. :)

AND, Sabrina and Shaun's baby rolled in at around 8:30 last night! Landon Michael, 19 1/1 inches long, 6 pounds, 13 ounces. Yay! I can't wait to go see him tomorrow afternoon- Brandy and I are going to head over there after I take Cameron to the meet and greet at the elementary school.

This weekend is Miss Megs' birthday party- she turns the big TWO on Saturday! Brent can hardly wait. He loves kiddie parties, especially when it's a ton of kids running around screaming in our house. Could you hear the extreme sarcasm in that last sentence?

And we're keeping our Em and Ethan overnight Saturday night- it'll be the first time we get to babysit our nephew Ethan- he's almost five months now! I'm so excited!

we're off to see the fishies...

squeezing in one last trip before school starts... headed to Sea World San Antonio with Rita's and Brandy's families... yay! Keep your fingers crossed we avoid any and all possible hurricanes in the meantime. :)
When we get back, it will be a mere 3 days before my baby turns TWO, and a mere 3 days before her PARTY that I still have a ton to do for! Ack! Breathe... drink... breathe....

This is a LO for KMA this month... fitting with the post, eh? The picture was taken at the Downtown Aquarium last summer... my how time flies....

my snoozers...

Brent shall love me for this... haha!

my favorite little man...

outside of my own...

the journaling is hard to read, but Dylan has the most awesome laugh you've ever heard, and it's so contagious. It's the type of innocent laugh that's totally free, and just because he wants to. It rocks, and I hope he never stops!

My little bed bugs

are just so dang cute! They both LOVE to hang out in our bed, especially under the covers. The other morning they were in there, all snuggled up together watching the morning cartoons... Megan's bed head cracks me up!

therapy with paper...

love this hobby.

do you ever have a moment...

where something just makes you stop and think? Sometimes, it can be something I see or do every single day, but all of sudden something different happens, and I take notice. This site is that for me today....

couple of new ones...

This one is for a challenge over at Scraplovers- Oh My Word. This week's word was Amazing, and I couldn't think of a better way to use it than with a picture of Cameron. :) and this one is a fun one I did of my niece Em with her friend at Kemah on Spring Break- I thought these papers went great with the pics.

all clear....

in case you were wondering. :) Me and my colon are fine and well...lol.

My son is full fledged swimming! Woot! I'm so excited! He's been 'swimming' for a while, but hits the panic button quite often. But last night he was cruising along all evening, coming up for air and going back for more. I'm so proud of him!

Also went to the beach today ... took the kids, my neice Em, Brandy & Dyl, Rita and her kiddos, and Dorothy & her kids... we had fun times- HOT and I am crispy, but we had a great time.

My sister stayed for part of the week, and Em has been here since Saturday- Brent was feeling pretty outnumbered for a while there :) it was great spending some time together though, and the girls helped me with the kiddos while I was taking care of "stuff".

Anyways, that's about all the babbling I'll do for now... here's my neice and nephew- Ethan's four months now- time flies!

BYOM and Scraplovers are having meet ups that weekend in the same place... no WAY I could pass it up! Brandy and I have bought our tickets already! :)

Post here if you're going, too!

fainting and scrapping...

so... I have good news and bad news.

which do you want first?

Oh, you don't want to hear about me fainting, crashing against a wall, scaring the crap out of hubs in the middle of the night, and finding out I have an arrythmia? Good, i don't really feel like talking about it either. Just felt the need to mention it since Brandy commented on it. And before she tells you, yes, as a matter of fact, I am having a colonoscopy next week. How sweet of you to ask. Oh, and why yes, I did get strep from my son. It's been a fun week.

No, I am not a hypochondriac. In fact, up until I broke my nose, the only time I went to the doctor was for the annual legs in the stirrups exam. Funny how things change.

The good news? Well, in light of having the above mentioned procedure, I should lose a couple of pounds, since the doctor is having me prep for two days before hand. 4 saltines a day, and clear fluids. Awesome. Do I look like the type who ever even takes the time to eat a saltine? What a waste! Salted cardboard... bleh. Like I said, tell me I'm skinny when you see me next. Boost the morale.

The other good news? I've gotten some scrapping done! Yay! THREE layouts this week. TWO of them tonight! woot! Here's one of them:

AND my husband is walking a little better... yay! Although his foot is turning some really yucko colors....
and in other exciting news, I ordered a new couch this week for the game room. Hold back the applause please, because you might want to save it for the blinds guy that is coming tomorrow to measure all the windows and put new 2" ones in... yay!

I tell ya, life doesn't get much more exciting in suburbia...

I am so discombobulated...

I'm not sure if that's a real word, but it's mine for now if it is.

Happy 5th birthday Cam! Woot! A few days late, my poor son.... we had his party Monday, which was great, but turns out the poor guy has strep throat! I took him to the doctor this morning and got the news. Poo. SO I have an official birthday post coming, but just not yet...better late than never, right?

My husband broke his foot at our son's birthday party- we had his party at an inflatables place, and a little girl fell down the ladder on Brent, who was holding Megan at the bottom. Severe sprain, with a hairline fracture. Nice. Did I mention it was only about 10 minutes into the party?

And a little bit of Heather news....

I also am starting a J-O-B. Wow. Really really really didn't ever think I'd be saying those words again. Seriously. No desire to become a contributing member of society. BUT my church PR person called a month ago, and said that the youth director of the church needed an assistant, and she thought I'd be great at it. 16 hours a week, flexible schedule, work some from home, family friendly work enviro, would I be interested? Hmm... lemme think on that. Went in and met with the youth director and the Pastor's secretary, and it's totally up my alley. Working with kids, organizing events, being involved. All that stuff I lurve. We whittled it down to 12 hours a week, 8 at the church 2 days a week, and 4 at home. So, I start the 16th. Weird. But cool. Just kind of fell in my lap, and like I said, I wasn't looking, but when things come knocking... I think Brent's pretty excited just because he thinks it will curb my shopping. HA! Little does he know how much of a multi-tasker I am!

AND simultaniously, I became a Stampin' Up! demonstrator. Yes, I never like to do things easy I guess. lol. Anyways, I'm doing SU just because our old demonstrator quit on us, and we hadn't found one we liked as well, so I figured why not? :) SO, if you ever need something, let me know...

I think that's it.... 27 days until Cameron starts Kindergarten, and 25 until Megs is two. Wow.
