ugh

so much. so little. bad combo. makes for bad blogger.

emmeline (my neice) has moved in with us, and is going to high school up here. started monday. looked beautiful, and as much my stomach was in knots over her starting at a new school, she is in love, and happy as can be. so glad for her, and so relieved. oh, and just for the record... her mother still loves her- they just haven't found a house up here yet, and didn't want her to have to switch schools. I can already tell you though, our entire family will miss her much when this chapter is over....

and if you're wondering why Em's picture is so dark, it's because high schoolers need to be there at the butt crack of dawn, that's why!

Megan turned three! WOW!

took her to chuck e cheese yesterday for her birthday (her actual party is this saturday, but I still wanted to do something fun with her)... she loved it. can't believe she's three. wow. she's hilarious and so full of spunk, and the barbie guitar she got as a present from a buddy of hers... omgoodness so funny! I highly recommend this for any spunky preschooler =)

And, last but certainly not least, Cameron started first grade. I gotta say, I was pretty bummed when I found out none of his friends from school last year were in his class this year. but of course, cameron being cameron, he recovered in no time, and has entirely forgotten that the kids in his class weren't his friends as of two days ago.

on side notes,

my toes look terrible. I halfway painted them on the fly on our way out the door Saturday night for Jim's birthday, but they're still bad. A summer with no time for pedis makes for bad toes.

and Landon turned the big ONE on Saturday afternoon as well! woot! definitely one of the cutest babes in the world!

other than that, not too much going on... =) yeah I know.... tomorrow Megs starts gymnastics, and meets her preschool teachers (she starts next week) and this weekend is the Anitameister's fabulous birthday Friday, Megan's party Saturday, and Brent will be at the Astro's game Sunday. Ahh, the lazy life.... just not for me lol!

so, that's about it for now... got enough that I don't feel guilty anymore, though I swear I'm still going to post my kids' birthday posts and my 12 of 12s =) pedicure first though!

summer's coming to an end...

and I'm so sad. went by in a flash.

Had a great time this past weekend... bringing two teenage girls with us definitely added some flair to the trip, as you can only imagine...

I have to tell you, thank God for the electronic advances of the world- I'm sure our 3 hour drive wouldn't have been nearly as peaceful if not...Cameron ended up with a $10. Tooth fairy didn't have change, and since Cameron left tooth fairy $2, technically he got $8.... on the high end now with the feedback, but I'm sure the tooth fairy will scale back next couple of rounds....

anyways, still got some extras in the house, so the much needed updates will have to wait just a little longer....

Fairy, Tooth Fairy that is...

will be visiting our casa tonight! Cameron finally let me pull the plug on his first tooth.... *sniff*

Gramma and Papa gave him a t-shirt that says “On the tooth fairy’s payroll” and $5…. When he came home tonight, he said he wanted to give two of his dollars to the tooth fairy since she goes all around to all the little kids that lose teeth and gives away all her money.

Awww… bless his little heart!
