There was a moment...

when Brent and I were lying in bed in our hotel thinking we were the Griswalds. Just one moment, but a moment nonetheless.
I will first and foremost say we had a great time. I will save the blah blah about what we saw and did because it was pretty standard. But I will share the highlights-

1. The first show we saw was Shamu. Let me first say I have never been to SW. Cameron was obsessed with Shamu splashing him. We sit in the splash zone. We do not get splashed (I'm secretly grateful, since the usual freak in me is thinking of what those big fish do in that water). My son is devastated, so I (how it was me, I shall never know. My husband still has it coming to him) took my son down to the very front row for the next round of big fish splash of water. And I turned to run for my life(yes, I was abandoning my child for higher ground) as I saw the big dude coming our way. I made it up two steps before this enormous tidal wave hit the entire back side of me. In my white tank top. (Thankfully, the chick next to me was wearing white shorts, so that saved some humiliation. Not much, but some.) I turned back around to grab Cameron, whom the tidal wave had gone over, and he was hysterical because A) I was wetter than him, and B) I was two feet away. So we go back to our seats and sit next to my dry husband and dry daughter, and wait to get splashed again. Together. So all was right with the world again. Except for the salt lick I had become.

2. There was something wrong with our suite. I'm not sure what it was, but apparently Megan did, because she cried every time we went in it unless I was holding her. And did. not. sleep. This baby is not a crier, and not a troublemaker normally, so we're not sure what was going on except the room was haunted or something. For that reason, we headed home Saturday night instead of Sunday morning, because as fun as Friday night was, we did not want to repeat it. By then we had been to Sea World twice, and seen everything, so it wasn't like we missed out on any of the weekend. Except for the sleep part.

3. The pools at this hotel were fabulous. As was the poolside bar. One of the pools had a beach type side (I'm not sure what you call it) so it was great for us to sit there with Megan. We lounged by the pool for most of Saturday afternoon after getting back from SW. Cameron didn't come out of the water except for food the entire time.

4. One of the times we were going into the hotel, we had a Cam Convo-
C: Do you smell that? I smell something stinky.
B: What is it? (It was fresh mulch, but we love to hear this kid's mind workin' sometimes)
C: I think.....it was the dinosaurs up in heaven. They went poo poo. In God's toilet.

where. does. he. get. this?

5. Megan had cotton candy for the first time. Shockingly, we can add her to the billions of children who like it.

Now, for a few pictures... and yes, I have pictures of fishes and sharks and penguins, but who wants to see those when I have cute family pics?!?

Okay.... one fishie.... I'm just letting this picture serve double duty.... Shamu, and what I looked like in a bathing suit. Except Shamu is smoother. No lumps and bumps.

Meant to call you today but the day got away from me as usual. I'll call tomorrow. Glad you guys had a good time even though it was cut short. I guess there was no drinking wine in the bathroom while the kids slept?

Yup- I would probably leave my kid for higher ground too! Especially if I was wearing a white shirt! We went to Sea World before we had kids- I'm sure it would be quite a different experience now with the boys- quite similar to yours with Cam I'm sure!
Glad you had a fun time though!
